- The knowledge imparted to youth in this program will
empower youth far beyond the constitutional act of giving
them the right to vote.
- It will enable them to make a significant difference
in their communities.
- It will help them put peer pressure on the government
not only to improve Governance but to effectively fight
the menace of corruption pervading our society and our nation.
- It will give youth the self-confidence and teach them
social and moral responsibility, both in and beyond the
classroom, and towards those in authority and towards each
other
- It will enable youth to become involved in the life and
concerns of their communities, including learning through
involvement and service to the community and to one another.
- It will help youth to make themselves effective in public
life through knowledge, skills and values
Transparency International Pakistan has developed a comprehensive
“participatory Program” in which it hopes the
youth of Pakistan will become participating members of Civil
Society.
This program will build a wide coalition amongst youth of
capital cities of Pakistan to fight corruption. The Youth
of Pakistan will be guided in developing its potential to
lead Pakistan through a new gateway, where economic prosperity
is accompanied by minimized corruption and respect for human
rights. Unfortunately youth in Pakistan do not find themselves
equipped to fight a menace like corruption and there aren’t
many individuals or organizations fighting corruption in their
colleges and communities. This program hopes to inform youth
about the role they can play in fighting corruption and equip
them with technical and educational resources to become agents
of transformation. The “Youth in Governance” program
